“As a fashion photographer based in Berlin, I am constantly searching for contrasts – for the friction between rigid architecture and fluid movement.
With “Shadow”, I wanted to push this duality to its limits. It is a visual exploration of form, where light does not merely illuminate, but carves the silhouette out of the darkness.
My goal was to capture more than just the interplay of light and dark. I wanted to explore the tension in between – those moments where fashion becomes sculpture and the lines between reality and illusion blur.

Linh Nham moves before my lens with almost uncanny precision; she acts not just as a model, but as a living canvas for this play of proportions.
The styling by Dasha Vorobeva (assisted by Sophia Lehmann) was essential to this dynamic: the contrast between graphic polka dots and heavy, black textures gives the shadow a physical tangibility.
The final, avant-garde character of the series is owed to the hair & makeup design by Lucía Argüello, which consciously blurs the line between classical elegance and modern edge.
Thanks to the technical support of Marta Holden, we were able to create the exact atmosphere I envisioned on set: a space where light doesn’t just make things visible, but creates the form itself.“Shadow” is my invitation to seek the detail within the hidden.”
